Vardo, Travelers Caravan, Gypsy Wagon

I have always wanted to build vardos. the original camper, tiny house.

Welcome to the prototype Vardo. I built this one for chickens, but I would love to build larger versions as tiny houses, home offices, guest rooms and more. I designed this one for its purpose as a chicken coop, but the one I would design for you would have a bed, galley, dining area, closet, wood stove, etc. Almost any curve or shape is possible, so you can go as subdued or as Seussian as you would like. Inspirations from the medieval to science fiction can be incorporated into your one of a kind whimsical wagon.

I design and build ruggedly using appropriate materials and construction methods and strive to add as much function to the details as possible. In a similar fashion to a traditional wooden boat, each piece is engineered to take the strains of moving it around your property as well as the worst the weather can can throw at it, which when all the parts are added together, form a strong, simple, whole that is as durable as it is elegant.
